That is good to know. I've ordered one but do have some concerns seeing as I had a Ditto where the switch failed.

OK... I'm not using the FB2, BUT: there have been many reports of issues with these TC series pedals, so I have to add my 2 cents:

I had an Alter Ego v2, first it's buffer stopped passing signal (it worked fine in true bypass), then it just died. It wasn't very old or beaten up, heck not even gigged- it lived at home.

I have a 2nd Alter Ego v2, and it's buffer has developed the same problem. It's still working in TB mode, as of now.

I have a TC quintessence, the buffer started altering the tone badly- it sounded like a cocked wah. It works fine in TB mode.

These are run in my fx loop, so I'm missing the buffers. And frankly, I'm waiting for both pedals to eventually die, which will really suck, because the Alter Ego v2 (and x4) are my favorite digital/modeling delays of them all. But when they die, I'll probably have to replace them with Strymons, at least they seem to be reliable over all these years...

Had the switch issue on two of them.

Bought the first one new and after a few months the switch started failing. Sometimes it worked, sometimes not.
Contacted support and they sent me a replacement.
A few months later the replacement started doing the same thing.
I'm only an at home player and didn't even use it that often.
The fact that they failed after very little use was very frustrating.

I finally gave up and got a Boss DD200 and am much happier.

I will add that support was very helpful so no complaints there.

TC has been very reliable in my experience. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another. But I should say I use them in an amp effects loop. They are rarely (if ever) switched on/off with the foot switch and I don't mess with the controls. "set it and forget it"

I bought my flashback 2 used from reverb. Drop-dead reliable for a year now. Never an issue.
I've had a Hall Of Fame 2 (purchased new) for a couple years and it has been 100% reliable too.

So no troubles to report.

Do the 3 Toneprint modes work like presets? Can I just save sounds from the Flashback 2 itself into them?

Not quite, you'll have to beam them in using your phone / computer

I didn't keep alot of them very long except the first flashback and the alter ego, I didn't have any failures but I did not care for the switch on the flashback 2 and I wouldn't buy a pedal with that switch

I've owned around 10 TC pedals and currently own 5, no issues here with reliability...never had a switch issue.

I placed my FB2 delay in the effects loop of my Marshall, it sounded best there.

For toneprint editing, I used an iPad, I had to get a USB to Lightning adapter, but it works everytime with no issues. I have not tried the PC version of the Toneprint software.

To answer your above question, yes you can use the Toneprint slots like presets, but I don't believe the pedal will save the delay time to where you set it last, it functions where the current knob setting it, but it is possible to save delay time - if you need a specific setting - the one way you can save delay time is to edit the delay time knob in the Toneprint software and set at a delay time no matter where the knob value is set.
My favorite delay Toneprint for my rig is the EP-3 New Tape by TC...sounds amazing.

Have had HOF2 and currently own FB2 and Corona. No problems but I have not gigged them or beaten them up.

I really like the FB2, I think it's underrated. I also have a Volante and EHX Grand Canyon as well as and think the Echoplex and tape echos are better than the EHX and on par with the Volante. I've definitely gone back and forth switching the Volante with the FB2, neither being better, just slightly different.
