$3 - Dodsworth in Rome by Tim Egan. Cute chapter books for young readers, very nice condition. Two animal tourists, one serious and one goofy, travel through Rome. Hardcover with dust jacket.

$6 - Galen and the Gateway to Medicine by Jeanne Bendick, publisher Bethlehem Books. Early medical science. Good condition. Scheduled in RTR.

$5 - Ancient Rome, Make It Work, World Book Encyclopedia. The hands-on approach to history. Came with my RTR package, later called The Roman Empire. 1587283034

$5 - Ancient Romans, by Anita Ganeri, Compass Point Books. DK-style book, 32 pages, 0756517591

$4 - The Usborne Internet-Linked Encyclopedia of the Roman World. Scholastic version, 128 pages, nice condition, 0439434157

$4 - Bridges of the World Coloring Book, Dover by LaFontaine. Nice condition, no coloring.

$5 - Legends of Charlemagne, The Illustrated Bulfinch’s Mythology, illustrated by Giovanni Caselli. An oversized, carefully presented edition, 160 pages, and even underlines the sentences relevant to each illustration.

$4 - Constantinople, The Jewel of Two Emperors, by Marilyn Locker. Focus on Justinian in the 500s (Roman/Byzantine Empire, built Hagia Sophia) and Suleyman (Ottoman Empire), covers AD 326 to 1932 when the city became Istanbul. Many pictures, just 32 pages. 1400744687

$3 - My Hanukkah Alphabet, by Kunin. Alphabet includes I for Israel, J for Judah Maccabee, M menorah, etc. The sewing is a little loose especially at bottom of pages but otherwise nice, 0307137198. Hardcover.

$3 - My Hanukkah Book of Numbers, photos by Kunin. 8 presents, 9 candles, etc., with photos of young kids. Nice condition, 030713718x. Hardcover.

$4 - The Story of Hanukkah, by Lisa Rojany. A lift-the-flap rebus book. The rebus part means that sometimes there is a picture instead of a word, and the flaps mean that underneath the picture, you can read the word (e.g. under the picture of a sword is the word “sword”). Nice condition, no breaks seen in pop-ups or flaps, 1562824201. Hardcover.

$3 – Color Your Own Book of KELLS, by Noble, Dover. Illuminations from about 800 AD. No coloring inside.

$3 - Mouse House, by Becker and Mayer. 5 easy-to-build homes for your computer mouse. Cardstock models of The Parthenon, Golden Pavillion, Taj Mahal, Chartres Cathedral, White House. Pieces do punch out, but are very detailed. Have had this on the shelf for a while, but unused, 0140244417.

$4 - Beowulf, translated by Ruth Lehmann. Paperback with several pen-and-ink illustrations, plus a few helps in appendixes and intro. Nice condition, one word heavily underlined in intro but otherwise no writing seen, 0292707711

$5 - Beowulf, A Prose Translation by E. Talbot Donaldson, A Norton Critical Edition ed. Nicholas Howe. Cover framed in bright blue is like new, but inside there is some underlining and there are short notes in pen, nothing unsightly. 0393974065

$6 - Beowulf, adaptation by Glover, tons of illumination-style illustrations. Published in UK, cover is black and gold (not the blue U.S. edition, 1st paperback printing 1995). Printed on good paper, nice condition except bottom corner bends on back cover and last 6 pages. 0750911042

$4 - The Door in the Wall, by Marguerite de Angeli. Chapter book from the era of monks and castles/Middle Ages, young boy learns to serve, 0440402832. Used in RTR.

$5 - Cinderella, illustrated by K.V. Craft. The text is reminiscent of illuminated manuscripts and the illustrations are in the style of 1600s French court. Hardcover with dust jacket.
