I absolutely enjoyed being part of this podcast. You can't go wrong with the combination of comedy and history! Thank you, the You're Dead to Me crew, for inviting me and for your hospitality. That was the perfect way to end the academic year.

Very interesting. BYW, do you know that Ian Fleming's cinematised novel title "You Only Live Twice" was inspired by Basho's haiku?

I was thrilled to be interviewed by BBC this morning to talk about the Japanese Emperor and Empress’ state visit and witness such a historically significant moment. The Anglo-Japanese tie is stronger now more than ever before!

In the global geopolitical climate of today, it was ever so relevant to reflect on the Tokyo Trial in the context of international law and imperialism. Thank you, Mate Paksy, his colleagues at ETHICS EA 7446 and the Faculté de Droit, Les facultés de l'université catholique de Lille, for inviting me again this year.

When TANKTV approached me to react to Kitano Takeshi's Violent Cop (1989), I was thrilled. And I was so right to ask Fabio Gygi to do this with me! We had a great time chatting about the film.
